My journey into software development is a bit unconventional. For a decade, my daily life involved making high-stakes, split-second decisions as an ICU and Emergency Room nurse. I thrived on the complex problem-solving required in critical care, but I eventually wanted to channel that analytical energy into building things from the ground up—and secure a better work-life balance for my family.
Today, I apply that exact same triage mindset to writing code. Diagnosing a bug, staying calm under pressure, and communicating clearly across a team aren't new concepts to me; they are how I operated every day. I'm currently honing my engineering skills at kood/Sisu, a unique peer-to-peer coding program where I focus heavily on building practical, real-world backend systems.
Off the screen, I'm a tinkerer and an outdoorsman. You'll likely find me wiring up ESP32 microcontrollers, hitting the trails on my bike, mountaineering, or just going for a run with my dog.
